Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) is the ability of electrical equipment and systems to perform as intended, without interference, when in close proximity to each other. This is increasingly important in modern day life as we rely heavily on electronic equipment which may interfere with one another.
Cranage EMC and Safety offer a complete range of EMC test facilities, including pre-compliance and in-situ testing.
EMC pre-compliance testing services
If a product does not pass full compliance testing it may prove costly to change designs and can delay the time to market. During our pre-compliance testing, our engineers will work with you to evaluate your design and identify any potential EMC issues. As our engineers have extensive experience, we are able to advise you on any potential issues and fixes, saving you time and money in full compliance testing. EMC problems will be easier and cheaper to fix in early in the design stage. Pre-compliance EMC tests will involve quantifying the emissions that come from the product. Using Cranage for pre-compliance testing means that the engineers will be using specialised, calibrated equipment that is also used in full testing, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
In-situ EMC testing
If your item is large or in-situ, Cranage engineers can come to your premises to conduct selected EMC tests. More details of our in-situ EMC testing can be viewed here:
